Despite the thousands and thousands of skincare products that promise to help you look years younger by tomorrow... the truth is that most skincare doesn't help and some is actually harmful. 14% of people are allergic to preservatives; 14% are allergic to fragrances. Everyone is sensitive to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), which is present in almost all soaps. Other toxins are phthalates, endocrine disrupters, and even carcinogens.
So, toxins abound in skincare and the list of helpful chemicals is actually very small. That's partially because only small molecules can penetrate the skin. Things like Vitamins C, A and B3 are great for the skin, as are the alpha hydroxy acids. But those expensive peptides and exosomes that are so popular in social media are actually useless because they can not penetrate the skin.
A simple skin care program, like mine, uses as few chemicals as possible, and eliminates unnecessary fragrances and preservatives where possible. A simple skin care program is easy to follow because there are only a few steps. For instance, with my program, you clean your skin in the morning and evening, and apply skin protector in the morning and skin nutrients in the evening. That's it. Easy to follow, scientifically sound, and safe.
