Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion

The ultimate in skin cleaning procedures. Microdermabrasion not only exfoliates, but it also suctions out debris from pores, giving you the cleanest skin possible. It's what "facials" are supposed to do - but it does it in the purest and cleanest way. In my Manhattan office, my aesthetician performs the microdermabrasion. She's so gentle that you'll be looking great and be able to apply makeup for this evening's event.

Microdermabrasion is great before surgery and will help keep your skin looking its best after surgery.

Microdermabrasion will not help wrinkles and scars. Only brown pigment that would eventually wear off will be removed by this relaxing procedure.

I use a machine that does not blast harmful debris in to the air. Older machines use aluminum oxide crystals and these are very harmful to the lungs of the patient and the operator. The machine that I use has diamonds embedded into the handpiece, eliminating the aerosol.

For best results, I recommend microdermbrasion every 2-4 weeks.

News Flash : A recent study actually showed that microdermabrasion DOES stimulate the production of collagen. It is not known whether this translates to a clinically obvious effect. The real question is: if microdermabrasion does this, so should washing your face with a coarse washcloth or loofah pad.
